Convert your script to SRT with audio sync.
Bring your recording and the script you read. Match your words to the audio, choose your caption layout, and download an SRT for your editor.
Choose your audio
MP3, WAV, M4A, AAC, OGG or WebM · up to 60 minutes / 250 MB
Audio is uploaded to RapidCaption to find speech timings. Use a matching English script. Small recognition mistakes do not block your script. Repaired timings are marked for review.
Add your script
Paste the words spoken in your recording, or import a TXT file.
Review uncertain timing
Your script wording is preserved. Small recognition differences are handled automatically. These longer sections have estimated timing that needs checking. Use the same Listen button to play, pause and resume.
Underlined amber words have uncertain timing. Nearby text is context. Browser Find highlights are separate.
Caption settings
Adjust these after generation without uploading again.
Timing conflicts are marked for review. SRT stores text and timing; choose fonts, colors and animation in your video editor.

Review your subtitles
Click Listen to preview a caption. Edit its text or start/end times in seconds. Resolve review notes before downloading.
To correct a word, edit it in the Subtitles tab.
How to sync a script to audio and create SRT subtitles
- Sign in, choose the English recording and paste the script or import a TXT file.
- Generate subtitles and listen to sections flagged with uncertain timing.
- Adjust caption length, line count or timing, review the result and download SRT.
A practical example
Example: match a prepared narration script to the recorded voiceover instead of rewriting the transcript.
Formats and things to check
Use MP3, WAV, M4A, AAC, OGG or WebM audio within the limits displayed above. The script should closely follow the spoken recording. Large differences can produce estimated timing that needs manual review. SRT stores wording and timing rather than visual caption styling.
